PARAQUAT LAWSUITS ARE HAPPENING NOW

The Unified Parkinson’s Advocacy Council announced that evidence strongly suggests the risk of developing Parkinson’s Disease can increase by 200-600 percent from chronic exposure to Paraquat. Parkinson’s Disease organizations nationwide are calling on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to ban Paraquat, the toxic herbicide that is already banned in 32 other countries.

Parkinson’s Disease is a lifelong, devastating disease that affects workers, individuals, and families. It is a chronic and progressive brain disorder that causes stiffness, shaking, difficulty walking, and other debilitating symptoms that get worse over the years.

Manufacturers, sellers, and distributors are liable and now subject to lawsuits for injuries and damages that occur as a result of product failure through manufacturing flaws, design defects, and failure to provide adequate warnings and instructions.

Class action lawsuits and individual claims across the United States allege that there has been:

  • Failure to adequately research the link between Paraquat and Parkinson’s Disease.
  • Failure to warn consumers about the risks of Paraquat exposure.
  • Negligent disregard concerning the potential Paraquat risks.
  • Failure to ensure that consumers receive adequate protection against the potential side effects of Paraquat.
  • Misrepresenting the safety of Paraquat for decades.

Even when precautions are taken and recommendations are followed, consumers can still be exposed to Paraquat through skin absorption, penetration through cuts and abrasions, breathing droplets through the mouth or nose, or accidental ingestion.

If you or your loved one has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease after exposure to Paraquat you may be entitle to settlement benefits and financial compensation including:

  • Medical expenses
  • Lost wages
  • Future losses
  • Pain and suffering
  • Lifetime care
  • Other damages to you and your family
